Living on Borrowed Time—Wake up!!!

apocalypse

So we have all survived September 2015.  As one friend put it, we’ve dodged a bullet.  But not forever.  Judgment will surely fall.  God in His immense and infinite mercy, has granted us a stay of execution.  Of course, not all are slated for execution, but many surely are.  This stay is granted in order to allow everyone who is not saved to choose Jesus—and thus, choose life.

For those of us who are already saved, this postponement is granted in order to give us the opportunity to share Jesus with as many people as possible.  Those who have been attending church, giving God one hour of their week, are being given a chance to win a crown.  They are like the eleventh hour workers (of Matthew 20:1-16)—the last will be first.

A third reason for this postponement is to catch the defeated enemy off guard, which God will surely do.  But that’s all the more reason for us to remain watchful and continuing in the ministry that He has given each of us to do.

And finally, here’s what God has to say about it:

For My own Name’s sake I delay My wrath; for the sake of My Praise I hold it back from you, so as not to destroy you completely, (Isaiah 48:9).

This is NOT the time to sit back and heave a sigh of relief.  This is the time to press on for the prize.  God is good—get out there and tell it to the world!
